Abstract

This study aims to study achievement and the effect of blended learning on mathematics learning achievement in class XI students. This research is a quantitative research with a pre experimental design. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative research with 1 variables. This research was conducted at SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui, Kupang in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The population in this study were students of class XI IPA 1 SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui, Kupang. The sample of this research is 10 people from one class taken by Simple Random Sampling (simple random technique). The instruments used test results(pretest amd posttest). To see the effect of blended learning on students' understanding of mathematical concepts, inferential statistical tests were used, but because one of the data was not normally distributed, non-parametric tests were used. In the analysis of the non-parametric test based on the results of the analysis of the normality test Pearson Chi-Square = 8,056 with (α) = 0.05 at the output of SPSS 22, the value x^2count = 8.056<x^2tabel=16.92, it can be concluded that accept Ho, which means that together there is an effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Based on the results of hypothesis testing from the results of the analysis obtained the value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 while tcount = 5.346. For ttable, it is obtained that df = n-1, with df = 9 then the value of ttable = 2.262 is obtained. Because the value of Sig.(2-tailed) = 0.00 < = 0.05 and tcount = 5.346 > 2.262 = ttable. Based on the results obtained, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It was concluded that there was a significant effect of blended learning on the mathematics learning achievement of high school students.
