Abstract
This thesis is entitled Political Campaign Strategy During the Covid-19 Pandemic Case Study of the Victory of the Pair of Andreas Paru and Raymundus Bena (APRB Package) in the Regional Election of Ngada Regency in 2020. The formulation of the problem in writing this thesis is How the Political Campaign Strategy of the Pair of Andreas Paru and Raymundus Bena ( APRB PACKAGE) In the 2020 Ngada Regency Election during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The theory used by researchers in solving research problems is Political Campaign Strategy According to Hafied Cangara in the form of determining campaigners, compiling campaign messages and selecting communication media. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Primary data sources are informants while secondary data are documents related to research variables. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis stage was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing stage and then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that (1). The influence of campaigners who are all DPRD members who have done a lot so that it is easy to mobilize the community to elect the APRB Pair (2). The basis for the community to choose the APRB Pair cannot be separated from the Vision, Mission and Work Program offered in accordance with the real conditions and problems that exist in the Ngada community that have not been answered by previous leaders such as agriculture and tourism with the slogan "Tante Nela Paris" which is Community Farmers, Livestock, Fishermen and Tourism actors for “Tuka-Tuku-Teka” (daily food needs, for storage and for sale). The community chooses the APRB Pair in the Ngada election based on consideration of the track record or track record of this couple who is populist and experienced. It can be seen from the performance of this couple who are always together with the professional community/tasks that are carried out both as members of the Police and members of the DPRD (3). Limited/Face-to-Face Meetings are run by APRB pairs while still implementing the Covid-19 prevention health protocol. The Public Debate/Open Debate between Candidate Pairs held by the KPU has conveyed all the political messages of the APRB Pairs contained in the Vision, Mission and Work Program so that they can be widely known by the people of Ngada Regency and become a benchmark for the community to choose the APRB pair. APRB couples use social media in this case Facebook and WhatsApp as a means to campaign for the vision, mission, and work program in voters as well as low costs and more efficient in promoting the APRB pair. Based on the results of the above analysis, the authors conclude that the Political Campaign Strategy During the Covid-19 Pandemic Case Study of the Victory of the Pair of Andreas Paru and Raymundus Bena (APRB Package) in the 2020 Ngada Regency Pilkata in the form of Determination of Campaigners, Preparation of Campaign Messages and Media Elections affect the victory of the Couple APRB in the 2020 Regional Head Election of Ngada Regency.
