Abstract
Musical ensemble is playing music together using certain musical instruments and also playing songs with simple arrangements. In the world of education, ensemble music learning has been implemented starting from grade VII. However, this ensemble music learning has not been implemented and studied by the seventh grade students of SMPN Reroroja due to several things, namely the absence of the pianika instrument itself and the limitations of the teaching staff at the school. The formulation of the problem in this research is how to introduce the musical ensemble of a pianika with the song " Bagimu Negeri " using cooperative learning methods and drills to the seventh grade students of SMPN Reroroja-Maumere with the aim of describing the process of introducing a pianika-like ensemble game. The type of research used is qualitative research using cooperative learning and drill methods. The results showed that the implementation of introducing piano-like ensemble music to seventh grade students of SMPN Reroroja was carried out in 3 (three) stages with 11 (eleven) meetings held, namely, the initial stage of recruiting members of class VII students and introducing ensemble material. The core stage, the process of rehearsing the ensemble game with the model song "For Your Country" using cooperative learning and drill methods, as well as the final stage of the performance. The composition of this ensemble consists of two pianika groups, namely pianika I or cantus firmus, and pianika group II or contra melody. The cantus firmus group is a group that plays the main melody or the main melody, the number of members in the cantus firmus group is 4 people. The counter-melodic group is a group that plays a melody that is opposite to the main melody. The number of members in the contra melody group is three people. In simple language, the role of pianika group I is to play sound one and pianika group two to play sound two. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the students can play the ensemble game as a whole through the training process that has been done quite well. There are several constraining factors in this research process, but these can be overcome using the drill method or repeated exercises.
