Abstract

The pianika is a small wind instrument similar to the harmonica, but uses keyboard blades that are about 3 octaves wide. Pianika is played by blowing. The purpose of this study is to find out the steps to introduce basic fingering techniques in piano playing with the Rote Mai Fali E song model through imitation and drill methods and how effective the steps are to introduce basic fingering techniques with imitation and drill methods in instrument games. piano music with the regional song Rote Mai Fali E model for Class IX A students of SMPN Kotafoun. This research uses field action research method. This research was conducted in 10 learning meetings. The subjects of this study consisted of 5 students. The results showed that introducing the basic fingering technique to the piano playing instrument with the Rote Mai Fali E Regional Song model through the imitation and drill method was carried out through 10 steps, namely (1) explaining the piano instrument and its parts; (2) explain the basic technique of fingering; (3) individual training of fingering techniques; (4) practice fingering techniques together; (5) asking each student to practice the fingering technique; (6) giving tests both individually and in groups; (7) retraining both individually and in groups; (8) asking students to practice fingering techniques together with the given song model; (9). Doing rehearsals and (10) performing performances. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Imitation and Drill Method is quite effective for introducing basic fingering techniques to the piano musical instrument game with the Rote Mai Fali E regional song model because it only requires 8 face-to-face exercises and students do not experience difficulties so that students can play it with ease. correct and precise fingering.
