Abstract

This research aims to determine wether the effect of emotional quetient and learning habits of students to mathematics learning achievement on the subject of statistics for class VIII Private High School SMPN 19 Kupang academic year’s in 2017/2018 amounting to 26 people. The data used in this research is the data value learning achievement and questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 22. Before to test the hypothesis, test that is prerequisite to achievement data normality test and the questionnaire. In this case, if the result of the calculation shows the significant value > 0,05 then H0 is accepted, but if the significant value < 0,05 then H0 is rejected. From the analysis of achievement data obtained Asymp.Sig value. (2- tailed) = 0,179 > 0,05 then H0 is accepted, and the data summarized normal distributet. While learning the emotional of questionnaire obtained Asymp. Sig value. (2-tailed =0,200 > 0, 05 then H0 is accepted and from questionnaire data study habits Asymp. Sig value. (-tailed = 0,200 > 0,05 then H0 is thus concluded the data were normally distributed. Multiple linear regression equations of the research is Ŷ = 20,612 + 0,356X1 + 0,536X2. Hypothesis testin using partyaly, after the data is analyzed emotional obtained tcal = 2,313 ≥1,701 = ttable and significant value to learn the emotional of learning = 0,02 < 0,05 then received H0, so lesrn emotional significantly effect academic performance. While the data of the study habits analyzed tcal =3,604 ≥ 1,701 =ttable with significance value of 0,00 > 0,05 then H0 rejected, which means study habits has significant effect on learning achievement. Hypothesis testing using simultaneous, after the data is analyzed was obtained sig. (2-tailed) =0,000 < 0.05 and Fcal =12,061 > 3,35 Ftable = then accept the H0, That concluded there was a significant the effect of emotional quentient and learning habits to mathematics learning achievement of students of class VIII Private High School SMPN 19 Kupang academic year’s in 2017/2018
