Abstract
Thesis title: Profile of students' social adjustment and its implications for the class VIIIA social guidance program at Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School for the 2022/2023 academic year. The problems being explored are, 1) What is the social adjustment profile of class VIIIA students at Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School for the 2022/2023 academic year. 2) What are the implications of the social adjustment profile for the social gaudance program of class VIIIA students at Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School for the 2022/2023 academic. The aim of the research is to determine: 1) The social adjustment profile of class VIIIA students at Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School for the 2022/2023 academic year. 2) Implications of the social adjustment profile for the social guidance program for class VIIIA students at Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School for the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive and the data collection tool is a social adjustment questionnaire. The research data analysis technique uses the central tendency formula. The results of the research analysis show that the average score for the Social Adjustment Profile is 174.6250. The social adjustment profile of class VIIIA students at Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School for the 2022/2023 academic year shows an average score of 174.6250, which is between the score range 164-201, which is in the very high category. It can be concluded that class VIIIA students at Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School for the 2022/2023 academic year have good social adjustment. Based on the results of research data analysis as described, the researcher makes suggestions to the following parties: a) School Principal: it is hoped that he will increase collaboration with guidance and counseling teachers, facilitate and support all social guidance programs in schools so that they are implemented well in order to maintain adjustment. students' social skills are good. b) Guidance and Guidance Teachers: are expected to design and develop social guidance programs that suit student needs in order to maintain students' good social adjustment. c) Students: are expected to actively utilize the social guidance carried out by the guidance and counseling teacher to maintain their good social adjustment.
