Abstract
This research is entitled: The effectiveness of applying mind mapping techniques through group guidance to change the study habits of class XI Science students at Sint Carolus Catholic High School Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year. Answering the problem of whether the application of mind mapping techniques through group guidance is effective in changing students' learning habits? The goal that the researcher wants to achieve is to explain how the use of mind mapping techniques through group guidance is effective in changing students' study habits. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative using a pre-experimental design (one-group pretest-posttest design). The research sample was 5 students of class XI Science at Sint Carolus Catholic High School, Kupang. In this study, researchers used questionnaires as a tool to collect data and researchers used intervention guides. When analyzing data, researchers used the t test formula. From the results of the analysis, t_count = 20,112, and t_table with a significance level of 5% = 3,182 (t_count>t_tabel). With these results, it is proven that the use of mind mapping has proven effective in improving students' learning habits. Researchers feel the need to provide suggestions and suggestions based on the results obtained for: first, the Principal; It is hoped that it can support Guidance and Counseling teachers with guidance and counseling activities in schools running smoothly. Second, guidance and counseling teachers; If you continue to run guidance and counseling programs in schools so that student problems can be resolved as best as possible. Third, to students; increasingly enthusiastic about participating in guidance and counseling activities carried out by guidance and counseling teachers so that a solution can be found for every problem that may be encountered.
