Abstract

Title of the thesis "Analysis of Forms of Learning Difficulties for Class Students X IPA 1 SMA Sint Carolus Kupang Academic Year 2022/2023" The formulation of the research problem is: 1) How to analyze the factors of learning difficulties for students of class X IPA 1 at Sint Carolus Catholic High School Kupang for the 2022/2023 academic year? 2) What are the implications of the analysis of the factors of learning difficulties for class X IPA 1 students at Sint Carolus Catholic High School Kupang for the academic year 2022/2023 for the tutoring program? The purposes of this study were to: 1) Analyze the factors of learning difficulties for students in class X IPA 1 at SMA Sint Carolus Kupang in the 2022/2023 academic year. 2) Knowing the implications of analyzing the factors of learning difficulties for class X IPA 1 students at SMA Sint Carolus Kupang for the 2022/2023 academic year for the tutoring program. The type of research used was descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all X IPA 1 students at SMA Sint Carolus Kupang in the academic year 2022/2023, totaling 14 people and the sample used was a population sample. The data collection tool used in this study was a Guttman scale questionnaire with a total of 30 questionnaire items. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive analysis, using statistical techniques, namely percentages. The results of the research data analysis show that the percentage of the overall score of the questionnaire items obtained a percentage of 54.28% and is included in the ≥50% category, thus it can be interpreted that students have learning difficulties in all of the questionnaire items.Based on the 14 respondents who filled out the learning difficulties questionnaire, the number of respondents who fell into the ≥50% category or had learning difficulties, namely 11 students and 3 respondents who were still in the <50% category or did not experience learning difficulties. The results of data analysis based on factors of student learning difficulties, namely internal factors of difficulty with a percentage of 53.80%, and external factors of learning difficulties with a percentage of 54.76%. based on the results of this analysis it can be said that students of class X IPA 1 at Sint Carolus Kupang High School for the 2022/2023 academic year experience learning difficulties in terms of internal factors and learning difficulties external factors. Based on the results of the research, the researchers provide suggestions to: 1) It is hoped that the school principal will further enhance collaboration with counseling guidance teachers, so that tutoring can be carried out properly to overcome the problem of student learning difficulties. 2) Counseling Teachers are expected to be able to design and develop tutoring programs that suit the needs of students to overcome students' learning difficulties well at school. 3) Subject teachers are expected to support the implementation of the tutoring program carried out by guidance and counseling teachers so that it runs well so that it can help students overcome learning difficulties well at school. 4) Students are expected to be able to participate and be actively involved in the implementation of the tutoring program organized by the guidance and counseling teacher at school, so that they can overcome the problem of student learning difficulties at school.
