Abstract
Go Laba is one of Nagekeo's traditional musical instruments that has been passed down from generation to generation. Go Laba musical instruments are usually used to accompany dances, one of which is the Sa Penga dance. The Go Laba musical instrument consists of five gongs (go) and one drum (laba). Previously, Go Laba games were only played by experienced teachers, while students only played the role of dancers. Researchers want to work with teachers at the school to provide Go Laba lessons to students. The problem raised in this study is how the learning process of Go Laba as an accompaniment to Sa Penga dance through the demonstration method and drill method at SD Inpres Kotakeo Kotakeo 1 Village, Nagekeo Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning process of Go Laba as an accompaniment to Sa Penga dance through the demonstration method and drill method for students of SD Inpres Kotakeo Village Kotakeo 1 Nagekeo Regency. This research is qualitative in nature. The research methods used are demonstration and drill. How to get data is through interviews, observation and documentation.The results of this study indicate that the learning process of Laba as an accompaniment to Sa Penga dance starts from the researcher giving an explanation of Go Laba musical instruments to students, demonstrating the technique of hitting Go Laba musical instruments, training students to practice hitting techniques based on the etude that has been prepared, demonstrating the technique of hitting Go Laba rhythm patterns and guiding students to play Go Laba rhythm patterns as Sa Penga dance accompaniment which is done repeatedly until students can play Go Laba rhythm patterns well.
