Abstract

Thesis title: Description of the self-confidence of class The problems in this research are: 1) What is the description of the self-confidence of class XI IPA-2 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year? 2) What are the implications of the description of the self-confidence of class XI IPA-2 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year for the personal guidance program? The aim of the research is to find out: 1) An overview of the self-confidence of class XI IPA-2 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year. 2) The implications of describing the self-confidence of class XI IPA-2 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year.The type of research used in this research is: quantitative descriptive. The data collection tool uses a self-confidence questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses central tendency analysis. The results of data analysis obtained a student self-confidence score of 171, which is between the score range 150-194. Based on the established criteria, the self-confidence of class XI IPA-2 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year is included in the high category. Based on the results of research data analysis, the researcher provides suggestions to: 1). The school principal, as the person in charge of the school, is expected to maintain and increase cooperation with guidance and counseling teachers in facilitating and supporting all designs of personal guidance programs in schools so that they are implemented well in order to maintain self-confidence. 2). Guidance teachers are expected to design and develop appropriate personal guidance programs to maintain students' understanding of self-confidence. 3). Students are expected to be actively involved in personal guidance activities carried out by guidance and counseling teachers in order to maintain students' understanding of good selfconfidence.
