Abstract
Thesis title: the effectiveness of self-control techniques through group guidance for the reduction of individual behavior playing online games. The problems studied in this thesis are (1) why self-control techniques through group guidance are used to reduce individual behavior reduction in playing online games, (2) how is the process of applying self-control techniques through group guidance to reduce individual behavior playing online games and (3) whether Self-control techniques through group guidance are effective for reducing individual behavior in playing online games. The purpose of writing a thesis is (1) knowing the reasons for using self-control techniques through group guidance to reduce individual behavior playing online games, (2) knowing the process of applying self-control techniques through group guidance to reduce individual behavior playing online games and (3) knowing the effectiveness of the technique. self control through group guidance for the reduction of individual behavior playing online games. The writing of this thesis uses the literature study method. The type of data used is qualitative data. The object of study in this thesis is about selfcontrol techniques, group guidance and online game play behavior. The results of this study indicate that self-control technique is a technique that can be given to individuals who tend to play online games because self-control techniques are useful in helping individuals to control, control, modify and change the behavior of playing online games in a useful activity. The process of implementing selfcontrol techniques for reducing online gaming behavior is carried out in five stages, namely specifying the problem and setting goals, making a commitment to change, taking data and assessing the causes of the problem, designing and implementing a plan for handling, preventing the return of problem behavior and achieving your goals. long-lasting. The process of applying self-control techniques is effective for reducing online game behavior, this is supported by journals from previous research which have proven that after being given treatment using self-control techniques, there is a reduction in the online game behavior of the research subjects. In writing this thesis, the author provides suggestions to: a) Readers, to make more efforts to improve their knowledge, understanding, and skills in applying self-control techniques to reduce individual behavior playing online games b) Counseling teachers, in order to deepen knowledge and improve skills in applying self-techniques control to reduce the behavior of playing online games c) The author, in order to better understand the process of applying self-control techniques to reduce behavior in playing online games.
