Abstract

Thesis title: Effectiveness of using symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services to increase students' social interaction. The problems studied in this study are 1) Why is symbolic modeling technique through group guidance services used to increase students' social interactions, 2) What are the procedures for using symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services to increase students' social interactions, 3) What are the use of modeling techniques? symbolic through effective group guidance services to increase the social interaction of students. This study aims to find out: 1) The reasons for using symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services to increase students' social interactions 2) procedures use for using symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services to increase students' social interactions. 3) Effective use of symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services to increase social interaction. This research uses a literature study method with qualitative data types. The object of study in this research is symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services and social interaction. Sources of data used by researchers are secondary data in the form of expert opinions and relevant previous research findings. The results of the discussion are; 1) The reason researchers use symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services to increase students' social interactions is because through symbolic modeling techniques students can change their behavior through observers by imitating social interaction models that can provide learning experiences for students in the form of pictures, videos and films. 2) The procedure for implementing the symbolic modeling technique through group guidance services to increase students' social interaction uses four stages, namely: the formation stage, the transition stage, the activity stage and the termination. After that, students can follow the implementation of the symbolic modeling technique steps, namely, rational, giving examples, practice/practice, and evaluation. 3) effective symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services for increasing the social interaction of students. This is supported by the results of relevant previous studies. Based on the results of the analysis, the researchers give suggestions to: 1) BK teachers, in order to apply symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services to help overcome students' social interaction problems, 2) BK students, so that they can be input in studying and analyzing various problems to increase students' social interactions. by using symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services. 3) Researchers, in order to be able to use symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services to increase student interaction.
