Abstract

In playing a stringed instrument there are several techniques, one of which is the strumming technique. Strumming technique is how to pluck the strings by sounding all the strings or often known as genjrengan. This game is usually used in ukulele accompaniment games and is an easy ukulele game technique and is very suitable for beginners or people who are just starting to learn to play it. This has prompted researchers to provide basic learning to play the ukulele in strumming technique with the title "Introducing the Ukulele Strumming Game Technique in Eskaubele Song with C Major Keys through the Drill Method for Class VIII Students of St. Catholic Junior High School Girls. Xavier's Immortality" .The results of the study indicate that the process of this activity begins with observation and then continues with recruitment and determination of the training schedule. Then, continued with the process of presenting the material, the training process, and the final process of learning is the presentation of the results of the exercise together. Problems that arise in the learning process are loss of tempo, fingering errors, strumming errors. Based on the results of the research, the drill method used in this study is very helpful for these problems so as to build good communication between researchers and students during the research process.
