Abstract

Arpeggio technique is a musical playing technique that involves playing notes that form chords in a specific sequence. Arpeggio technique can be used on various types of musical instruments, including piano, keyboard, guitar, and others. The research questions are: 1. How is the process of applying arpeggio technique on keyboard instruments in the song "Can't Help Falling in Love" for second semester students of the Music Education Study Program at UNWIRA? 2. How are the results of applying the Arpeggio technique on a keyboard musical instrument with the song "Can't Help Falling in Love" for second semester students of the UNWIRA Music Education study program? Aims to describe the process of applying the arpeggio technique on a keyboard musical instrument with the song "Can't Help Falling in Love" for second semester students of the UNWIRA Music Education study program, and To find out the results of applying the Arpeggio technique, on a keyboard musical instrument with the song model "Can't Help Falling in Love" for second semester students of the UNWIRA Music Education study program. The type of research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, which focuses on in-depth observation. The method used in this study is Field Action Research (naturalistic and natural), with the intention of seeing or observing the practice process and the author is directly involved as a trainer in the game of applying the arpeggio technique on a keyboard musical instrument. The results of this study indicate that the process and results of applying the arpeggio technique on keyboard musical instruments by four second-semester students of the UNWIRA Music Education study program, on the song "Can't Help Falling in Love", with varying predicates, including less, enough, good, and very good, despite the very varied challenges in playing this song, with a combination of Keyboard and Violin. So there is improvement or progress from each meeting. Significant improvement in skills is seen in the flexibility, activeness, and accuracy of students Lea, Faris, Very got very good results and Tania got good results in playing the song can't help falling in love on a keyboard instrument with arpeggio techniques. In addition, they managed to overcome difficulties in playing arpeggio techniques between left and right hand harmony. Although the fingering technique and arpeggio playing have been mastered, students still need to do repeated practice to achieve perfection. And they gained a new understanding of fingering techniques and the application of arpeggio techniques.
