Abstract

This study aims to: (1). Determine the effect of learning interest on mathematics learning achievement of junior high school students; (2). Knowing the effect of student learning motivation on junior high school mathematics learning achievement (3). Knowing the effect of students' interest and motivation to learn mathematics achievement in junior high school students. This type of research is quantitative research with multiple regression analysis techniques. The population in this study were VIIB grade students of SMP Negeri 20 Kupang City in 2018/2019 academic year, with a total of 32 students and the research sample of 30 people selected using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire and mathematics achievement test. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 22.0 for Windows program. From the results of SPSS 22 output for windows, based on the normality test X1, X2 and Y The normality test analysis results obtained are normally distributed data. Based on the Linearity X1test against Y obtained linear patterned data. Linearity test X2 against Y The analysis results obtained are linear patterned data. And multicollinearity test The results of the analysis, the correlation between X1and X2variables is = 0,213. Because the correlation between independent variables = 0.213 < 0.8 it can be concluded that the data do not occur multicollinearity. In the multiple regression analysis, X1and X2have an effect on Y and the regression equation Y = 62.016 + 2.481 - 1.526 and the value of F_calculate = 3.598 > F_table = 2.55 then reject H0, meaning that there is an effect of X1and X2and on Y grade VII students Kupang City Middle School 20. Based on the results of SPSS 22 output for windows, F test X1 and X2simultaneously affect Y and t test, X1affects Y while X2 does not affect Y. Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that there was a partially significant effect of X1 on Y grade VII students of SMP Negeri 20 Kupang City in 2018/2019 academic year, there was no partially significant effect of X2 on Y grade VII students of Y SMP Negeri 20 Kupang in the academic year 2018/2019, there was a significant simultaneous effect of X1 and X2 on Y grade VII students of SMP Negeri 20 Kupang City in 2018/2019 school year.
