Abstract

Fruity Loops Studio is a form of digital technology media that can be used to create music. Fruity Loops Studio can also be used by many groups ranging from musicians, teachers, lecturers, students and the general public. In reality, many students of the Music Education Study Program, Widya Mandira Catholic University do not yet know that this application can be a medium for making music. The formulation of the problem in this research is how efforts are made to utilize the Fl Studio application as a medium for making music for students of the Unwira Music Education Study Program. The aim of this research is to find out the results of using Fl Studio. This research is qualitative in nature. The research method used was field action and the data in the research was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The learning method that researchers use is the drill & imitation method. The subjects in this research were 6 students from the Music Education Study Program. This research uses 3 stages, namely the initial stage, the core stage and the final stage. The results and discussion of this research show that the use of the Fruity Loops Studio application is easy for students to use in the Unwira Music Education Study Program and is effective as a medium for making music. This is proven by the research subjects being able to make musical instruments independently without needing additional help from the researcher. The research subjects also made musical instruments for the title song "Indonesia Pusaka" with very good results. For future researchers, future researchers should be able to respond to what factors are needed in digital technology in relation to accessing music making media using Fruity Loops Studio.
